And there we are, Trick:25, which is also the last episode of Air Gear…
Where Trick:24 prepared us for this ‘final’ battle, this episode shows us the outcome of this.

We start out with Ikki having some probs with having 33 people to fly over. But soon his old rivals from earlier episodes are there to help him out. Gonzo, Umiana, Mizuru Natsumi and Bandou.
It gives me this ‘happy-happy feeling’ don’t ask me why,……all have gathered for Ikki’s sake. With even this cool background song which isn’t on the OST!

It’s basically to check who can jump the furthest, Devil’s 30-30. And again with our MC. Plugman to guide us in this battle.
Trident is up first, Yoshitsune is ready.
He fires up (like Kazu) and while thinking of beating Sora’s record he make this spin, flying on his back.
And at the last moment he extends his jump by rotating around his chest, pretty cool.
He makes a jump of 33.18 meters, almost equaled the record.

Ikki’s next, but he’s daydreaming. There are some nice flashbacks over here about Ikki and Ringo when they were still little kids.
They even manage to slip in some funny stuff in this last ‘emo’ episode….. While the others fight over where they want to lie down on the floor, Ringo just almost lies at the far end because she believes in Ikki.

All eyes are now focused on Ikki, Agito (in a dress) is there to snap him out of his dreaming.
Ikki’s fires up, and Agito with his Fang Regalia fires this big fang where Ikki can ride on. But Yoshitsune sucks up this Fang and pushes this big great pulse of air throughout the building.
Ikki who is still in the air crashes down on Ringo because of the airpulse……wham! Now that’s a great moment for some CM’s,…..boy that’s good.

And now Ikki’s knows what this Windmill thing is all about (previous eps), the Rumbling-Regalia.
It’s strength is to produce wind. The stronger the wind is, the stronger the speed is.
Ofcourse Yoshitsune doesn’t agree with this ‘cheating’, and leaves the field after telling Ikki some hard but true things.
Ikki apologies (huh),……and acknowledged he’s wrong. He asks for another try…..
Hehe Yoshitsune changes the whole atmosphere and tells Ikki he can try as much as he wants.

Ikki tries very hard but he can’t make it, making him crash down on the floor. While being blown away because of Yoshitsune, he sacrificed his body. He fell onto his knee to make sure he wouldn’t hurt Ringo.
It’s useless…..

But at this moment we here some nice stories from various people that Ikki is the one. The one who is always looking at the sky and who is loved by the sky. Therefore he is the Sky King.
Where there are kings (Agito’s fang/Nue’s Thunder…) there’s only one winged-road for the Sky King.

Iron pulls out some clothes, also Agito’s clothes,….hehe.
Agito trows Ikki Kogarasumaru’s outfit, and Ikki is ready for another go. Chain breaks in and Ikki is having the look on his eyes.

Whaa,…..he jumps,…he flies…….! Above everyone…. and reaches a staggering 35.09 meters!
He leaves us with his last words;

Did you see that Ringo? Right now, my royal self is above you pathetic humans.

And Ringo answers with a simple; Baka

- Well….. and with that the episode and Air Gear is really over. I can’t quite believe it yet, since I really like the serie because of the action, the humor and the whole AT thing.
It’s just screaming for another season, but I highly doubt it. I guess I’ll start with the manga to feed my Air Gear hunger.

Air Gear was IMO great. I know many people who dropped this serie after a few episodes,……some reasons: it was cliché….it had this freaking crows covering up the good stuff.
But I’m happy I continued… as many of you. Air Gear had these cool characters and a cool OST! (Uegh I want all those songs from this episode to)

But yet again, everything has its end. Ofcourse I’ll keep you updated if there’s some news about Air Gear, though as for now…
