I thought I’d update you people on what’s happening here at Japtard…
I know I haven’t updated for a while, and I’m sorry for that. But I’m afraid it’s going to stay like this for a while.

Three things which are keeping me offline.

School. I passed the first semester, and got all the points (31 ECTS). Wóó, which means I only need 9 points to move on to the second year.But as everyone else I’m going for the full 60 points, which gives me my P (propedeuse).

But I’ve noticed that the 2nd semester is going to be tough, and were just starting the fourth week.
And even Japanese is taking it’s toll, after Hiragana/Katakana and JFBP there’s more. This semester were really going to dive into the Japanese language.
Each week new grammar rules are being thrown at us, plus a seperate Kanji lesson.
Aargh. But I love it.

Work. I don’t love it but it’s what creates the money.
Normally I can live quite happily with what I earn, or at least I can’t complain. This time I need to save up the money or find some (more) work.
Because…..

Japan. Yes, I’m planning to go to Japan this year, in August to be precise.
It’s going to be Frox in Japan for three weeks, in 3 cities; Tokyo, Osaka and Hakata/Fukuoka. I’m 90% sure it will be this year that I’ll be going to Japan.
I’ll be surfing along with Shiranai Travel. And although I’m not 100% sure and the trip is still a long way from now, I’m already preparing.
I can’t make any promises, but I’m looking into video’s and geotagging.
More on that later.

But that’s about it, I hope to be back soon

  1. Hey Frox, good luck with all of that. I’m happy for you that you are going to Japan this year. I wish I could go, but it is so expensive. I’m probably going to be building a new computer, so that’s where all my money will be going. Make sure you keep me updated on what’s going on with Japan when you go. Maybe be flickr buddies or somethin’.

  3. Good luck with your studies, work and the planned trip to Japan! :) I really wish I could join you on your trip, alas my ‘dream’ trip seems to be a few years away!
    Every site has a hiatus every so often (I know mine did :D ) and I believe it’s much easier to be motivated and post much more interesting content if one has a break for a while. Do sign my email up for any newsletter updates, I shall look forward to photos of Japan as well!

  5. awww that’s a shame to hear you wont be updating as much, but good luck with all your studies and work. coincidentally I’m trying to save money for a trip to Japan as well :) though it’ll only be two weeks and will probably only be in one city. I’m thinking of going a little later as well but should be awesome, so good luck and all, keep us poster :D
