After a half year ORANGE RANGE is back with their 17th single Ika Summer! Looks like there is a story behind the title, the title of the single is a pun, as “Ika Summer” sounds like the Japanese word “ikasama”; meaning ‘fake’. This is because the song, despite being a summer song, is released in spring. To further the pun, on the cover of the single a squid (called ‘ika’ in Japanese)’s tentacles are seen.
The B-side SJK06 is a re-arrangement of their song Soujuuko from their indies mini-album ORANGE BALL, and was performed live at ORANGE RANGE’s “FANTAZICAL” tour. And there is also a remix version of DANCE 2, I’ve been using DANCE 2 as my ringtone for a long time and it pwns! The remix version is pretty ok, but if you ask me I’d rather go with the original (Pocky CM!).
