Shiro Sagisu – battle ignition

Now this a episode! Ikkaku pwns!
I really enjoyed watching this episode, were finally getting some action on the screen. Here’s a small recap …

- So all of ‘m are now stuck in a battle with an Arrancar, each has their own problem to take care of.
Ichigo and Rukia were attacked by D-Roy last time, but was quickly frozen and defeated by Rukia’s Sode no Shirakyuki. But after that they were confronted by Grimmjow, which seems even stronger.
Renji has to fight against Ilforte, Hitsugaya and Rangiku against Shawlong and Nakim.

And finally Ikkaku against Edorad, which is the main dish for today.
They test each other strength and soon come to  the conclusion they have to go all out with their tricks.

Edorad then releases his zappaktou which looks very good in the episode,…..aaargh Volcanica! He is now in it’s  true for, let’s see where this goes to.
But not before we flash back to Ichigo, Rukia  who are standing against Grimmjow. There’s this cool effect over the film which shows us the great strength of this Arrancar.
Grimmjow asks them who’s the strongest of them both, Rukia then screams Ichigo to leave. And in a flash Grimmjow pierces his hand in Rukia’s stomach……rather weird.

But that’s where the scene with Ichigo ends,……
Back at Ikkaku,…..Edorad lectures him about the true strength which is released by the Zanpaktou. It almost seems over for Ikkaku. Edorad shows some immense strength with his big arms + fire.
And just when Edorad wants to finish it off with one final fire blow, Ikkaku defends well and regrets he has to use ‘it’ now.
Ikkaku goes Bankai!

And it’s pretty impressive, it’s now pure power against pure power.
But it’s not enough for Ikkaku’s bankai,….looks like it’s still sleeping. Ikkaku spins Houzukimaru to awaken his real power.
And when the dragon crest turns completely red, ….. ping-pong it’s showtime.

But to bad not this time….we have to wait for next episode.
You have to agree,…..this was a nice episode. Pure action,  pure power. No speed transportation animation ala Dragonball Z. I’m looking forward to see how this battle ends.
Ow yea the next episode will not air next week… looks like we have to wait a week extra.
